ESTnet appoints new Managing Director
The network for technology organisations, the ESTnet, has
appointed Avril Lewis as its new Managing Director.
Chief Executive Officer, Dr Chris Young, is standing down
after ending her secondment, and will be moving on to pursue other
interests.
ESTnet has also introduced a new programme of initiatives
for 2012 aimed at enhancing the performance, profitability and
prosperity of organisations in Wales which design, develop,
manufacture or integrate electronic and software
technologies.

Michael Stevens appointed as Chief Executive Officer for
Cassidian Ltd.
Cassidian UK, which has its headquarters in Newport, South
Wales, has appointed Michael Stevens as its new CEO.
Michael is well qualified to head up Cassidian UK having held
various senior Defence and Security roles in Engineering,
Manufacturing, Project and Business Management over the last 30
years in areas of leading edge technology, complex systems,
solutions and services. He has worked in numerous locations in both
the UK and abroad.
The Cassidian portfolio includes integrated systems,
services and solutions to meet the new challenges confronting
emergency services, Government security agencies, critical national
infrastructure and military forces.

IQE Announces Continued Growth in Sales and Profits
IQE, the Cardiff-based leading global supplier of advanced wafer
products and wafer services to the semiconductor industry,
announced its year end results. Speaking after the anouncement, Dr
