The Welsh Government and Heathrow Airport invite you to apply* for Wales’ second Heathrow Business Summit.
Heathrow is committed to using its position as a national asset for the particular benefit of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) around the country. Their goal is to enable more and more SMEs to connect to new opportunities for growth locally, nationally and internationally. Through the Heathrow Business Summit and as part of the Statement of Intent agreed between the Welsh Government and Heathrow, they are working to connect Welsh SMEs with each other, with the airport, and, through the airport, to the world.
The Airport spends over £1.5 billion annually with more than 1,400 suppliers from around the UK and there will be more work on the horizon with under their proposals for expansion. Construction of the runway would be Europe’s largest privately-funded infrastructure project and SMEs will be critical to delivering the £14 billion investment.
Building on the success of the 2017 event, this Summit underpins the Welsh Government’s Economic Action Plan and will provide SMEs the opportunity to connect and trade face to face with other SMEs, Heathrow’s supply chain and in partnership with Business Wales, explore exporting opportunities.
Heathrow are specifically looking for dynamic, innovative businesses that have the capability and capacity to win and maintain ongoing contracts in Construction, Facilities Management, ICT, Logistics, Manufacturing and Fabrication, Finance, Consulting Engineers and all office activities.
In addition to the excellent networking opportunities, you will also have the opportunity to meet with various organisations to gather information and learn about potential business support within Wales to deliver Prosperity for All.
The event takes place on Wednesday 11 July 2018 from 9am to 4pm at the Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff CF11 8AZ.
For those of you based in north Wales, you might find it easier to attend the event taking place in Manchester on Friday, 8 June 2018. Further details can be found here.
