With an ever increasing threat to organisational data, cyber security is the essential backbone to all modern day businesses. With increased regulations such as GDPR and emerging security threats, without the vital knowledge, expertise and security, businesses are facing daily security challenges.
Security Foundry is a leading partner of choice for North Wales SMB and mid-market clients looking for trusted, referenceable and local cyber security solutions. As recent members of the ESTnet, we have been in touch with Founder and Director Karl Hargrave, to find out more.
Karl – “We have two routes to market. We deliver consultancy led engagements to help customers benchmark their current risks and needs and we work with trusted partners to deliver strategic managed services aimed providing a series of specialist security-focused managed services and expertise to meet gaps in client environments.”
“Security Foundry is one of only a handful of UK business partners for exciting new disruptive leading vendors such as ObserveIT – a leading Insider Threat Management platform helping companies protect their greatest assets, and we partner with Yubico, a world leader in multi-factor authentication.”
Karl explains that many SMB and mid-market customers they meet do not necessarily require products or point solutions, as they do not have the means to implement and support these technologies themselves effectively on an ongoing basis. What they actually want is to purchase peace of mind and therefore lend themselves well to a design-led approach and really are focused on the end result.
Whilst the business is recently founded, the trusted partners engaged each have a long track record in designing and supporting large scale security solutions across the UK.
Karl – “We believe we can expand our business to meet the demands of our target clients as will the market for cyber solutions over the next 3 – 5 years continue to do so, without diluting our core focus. Our offices in the heart of Wrexham give us the ability to expand and grow as required and are working closely with local Universities.”
“We will remain focused on what we do best – providing effective cyber security strategies and remembering the customer is at the heart of everything we do. People buy from people and when it comes to security they buy from people they trust.”
When asked about his thoughts and observations on the industry in Wales, Karl concluded with stating:
“I think Wales embraced the full potential of the Industrial Revolution in the past and it is ingrained in its DNA to capitalise on the incoming 4th Industrial Revolution which as you know this time around the commodity and resources will be data, not coal. If others like Security Foundry can capitalise on the skills required now to deliver solutions into the future that will be needed, cyber security is one hot sector that will continue to be in demand, offering attractive local career paths, for years to come.”
We’re really excited to welcome Security Foundry to the ESTnet network and maintain close relations with the North Wales’ technology community.
