As part of their review of qualifications in the information and communications technology sector, Qualifications Wales are asking employers, learners, learning providers and others to complete a short questionnaire.
They are currently reviewing GCSEs, A levels and vocational qualifications in ICT, taken by pupils in Wales, and the skills they develop from studying these before starting a career in ICT. They would like your opinions on whether qualifications in this sector are meeting the needs of learners and employers.
They are particularly keen to hear from employers who, even if they’re not familiar with current IT qualifications, know what IT skills you need your staff to have.
They are focusing on qualifications taken by learners on publicly funded courses - for learners aged 14-19 - and apprenticeships, but we are also happy to hear about others (although degrees will not be included in the review).
